Lochrian Poem is the solo project of Romanian multi-instrumentalist Andrei 'Solomonar' Oltean (Sibiu), billed as experimental atmospheric doom metal. Charming Timur is a Helsinki, Finland one-man project self-described as "a one man musical Soothing Apocalypse" spanning experimental metal, industrial and atmospheric music. Albums like "Focused Rage" (2017) blend nu-metal riffs and chaotic screaming with post-rock vibes and electronic atmospheres — the artist's own description is wanting it to sound like "the entire universe rip itself apart and yet it would sound beautiful at the same time." The project's identity behind the name could not be confirmed from any directly-fetched source; bassist Damjan Kapor guests on most of Focused Rage.

Formed in Helsinki in 2016 and describing themselves as a "conjuration from the Northern Wilderness," Babes in the Abyss build a dark, primitive avant-garde sound around harmonium and organ rather than guitar, with bass and drums filling out the low end. Their 2022 debut Physis is organ-driven, cinematic and ritualistic, closer to a doom-adjacent drone ensemble than to riff-based metal, with haunting shared vocals over sustained keyboard tones.

Jodis is a minimal drone/doom trio featuring Aaron Turner (vocals), James Plotkin (guitar) and Tim Wyskida (drums). The band is a modern exploration of restrained sonic minimalism and tonal/textural density, coupling Plotkin and Wyskida's sparse, mercurial rhythmic interplay with Turner's monolithic ambience and distressed vocals. They released two albums on Hydra Head Records: Secret House (2009) and Black Curtain (2012).

Sghor is a solo Polish dark-ambient/black-metal project that began recording in 2004 under the name "Allen" before rebranding as Sghor in 2006 and shifting toward longer-form ambient composition. Across a large, steadily-released Bandcamp catalog (Depressive Black Ambient, Never Ending Dysphoria, Le Grand Mystère, the multi-part Lux Dei series, Ahrimanic Resignation, and more), the project favors long, hypnotic, drone-like tracks — often 4 to 16 minutes — that foreground funereal, occult-tinged atmosphere over riffing, with black metal, doom, and funeral-doom genre tags layered onto a predominantly dark-ambient core.

The Crawling Chaos is a Moscow noise/sludge act formed in 2013 ('filth & stench since 2013'), blending doom, black metal and drone into an abrasive, atmosphere-heavy sound thickened by saxophone and noise/synth layers. They've released a self-titled full-length (2015), Гильотины поют о любви (2016), the EP Стерилизация преданных слуг, and the 2024 split Организованное безумие (Organized Madness) with fellow atlas act Neon Scaffold.

Beneath the Sod is the solo funeral/industrial doom project of Irish musician Ray Keenaghan (Wreck of the Hesperus), formed 2017. Releases include Circling the Drain (2017, Fort Evil Fruit), the split cassette Transmorphic Eye (2018, with Crypticum), and a self-titled 2021 EP on Cursed Monk Records described as harsh, synth-laced industrial doom metal with guest vocals from Richard Carson.

Solo instrumental drone/doom/dark-ambient project by Tim Roberts (Savannah, GA). The substantial release The Prophet Killed (2013) is a concept album about a Biblical prophet, built from eight very long-form tracks (1:37 to 16:47, ~70 min) of sustained tones, slow doom-weight passages and dark-ambient atmosphere per the artist's own genre tagging (Ambient, Dark Ambient, Doom, Drone Metal, Experimental).

A Finnish outfit, founded by bassists Mika A. A. Hyytinen and Topi Aarnio, built around the gimmick-that-works of having no guitarists at all — two bass players (4-to-12-string, baritone-tuned) carry all the riffing, joined by keyboards/samples and dual male/female vocals from Kari Husa and Anna Pienimäki. Their sole full-length, 2009's On Rituals and Correspondence in Constructed Realities (Season of Mist), moves from doom-metal roots into a cavernous, drone-heavy hybrid of gothic, black, and alt-rock with electro-folk and Baroque touches.
