Gelassenheit is the solo avant-garde/atmospheric black metal project of Uncumber (Mave/Abe Goren), based in Brooklyn/New York and active since 2020. The self-titled album blends symphonic black metal, avant-garde metal, dungeon synth, depressive black metal, and coldwave into a synth-heavy sound built around explicitly Christian-anarchist ('Red and Anarchist Black Metal') themes of communal living, care for the poor, and anti-fascism, framed by the artist as 'using Christianity as a tool for advocacy and unique aesthetic cultivation' rather than evangelism. Uncumber is a trans woman and has described the project in interviews as unblack, RABM-aligned black metal.

Portuguese experimental/atmospheric black metal project from Porto, self-styled 'Underwater Black Metal', built around Francisco Braga (aka Bragadast) and Artur Leão (aka Einsichtmar). Their 2022 album εἴδωλον weaves mythological narrative through drone-laden passages, tribal instrumentation (didgeridoo, berimbau, hangpan), and abrupt shifts between raging black metal and gentle ambient interludes.

Bríi is the electronic-leaning solo alter ego of Brazilian multi-instrumentalist Caio Lemos (aka Serafim), better known for his acoustic-folk black metal project Kaatayra. Where Kaatayra leans on native Brazilian folk instrumentation, Bríi fuses raw black metal blast passages with dark ambient, techno, trance and space-psychedelia, described by one Metal Archives reviewer as an 'improbable' but effective genre collision. Sghor is a solo Polish dark-ambient/black-metal project that began recording in 2004 under the name "Allen" before rebranding as Sghor in 2006 and shifting toward longer-form ambient composition. Across a large, steadily-released Bandcamp catalog (Depressive Black Ambient, Never Ending Dysphoria, Le Grand Mystère, the multi-part Lux Dei series, Ahrimanic Resignation, and more), the project favors long, hypnotic, drone-like tracks — often 4 to 16 minutes — that foreground funereal, occult-tinged atmosphere over riffing, with black metal, doom, and funeral-doom genre tags layered onto a predominantly dark-ambient core.

Circle of Ouroborus is a Finnish experimental/atmospheric black metal duo formed in Tampere in 2004 by vocalist Antti Klemi and multi-instrumentalist Rauta. Prolific to the point of dozens of lo-fi releases, favoring unconventional clean vocals and folk-tinged passages.

Isa was a solo Dutch black metal project from Arnhem, active only in 2008, releasing a single limited CD-R, Eindeloos, before disbanding. The record pairs raw, repetitive tremolo riffing with minimal, ambient-tinged guitar textures across three long, depressive tracks dealing with loneliness and isolation. Crown of Ascension is the solo experimental black metal project of UK multi-instrumentalist A. White (Oxfordshire), who is also the sole member of extreme-metal project Vessel of Iniquity and the industrial/drone/doom project Uncertainty Principle. The project blends blastbeat-driven black metal with industrial, drone and electronic textures, with cello recurring as a primary instrument alongside drum machines pushed to extreme tempos.

greyfleshtethered is the solo electronic black metal project of Daria, recording from the Connecticut woods and citing ambient black metal touchstones like Paysage d'Hiver, Neige et Noirceur, Trist, and Arkhtinn. 2021's 'The Dark Being' is an 83-minute, five-track narrative journey through alternate dimensions that blends atmospheric black metal with dark ambient, dungeon synth, and shoegaze textures. Live, the project splits its set between guitar and soundboard-triggered electronics. The project is explicitly framed as trans anarchist and anti-fascist within the black metal underground.

Shum is the solo drone-metal and harsh-noise-wall vehicle of Hungarian musician Varsás Gábor, running since 2016 under the banner "Varsás Gábor & friends." Guitar-wall pieces stretch toward the ninety-minute mark, occasionally threaded with guest kaval and throat-singing textures that push the project past pure noise into a queasy folk-drone hybrid. It sits closer to funeral doom and dark ambient than to conventional black metal, despite carrying black-metal and DSBM tags on some releases.

Project Nefast is a black metal project from Utrecht/Amsterdam, Netherlands, releasing through Tartarus Records, known for an absurdist, nihilism-inflected take on black metal built from 'noise, drone and repetition' rather than straightforward riffing. Key releases include Discomfort (2015), Dogma (2016), Sex Money Power (2017/2018) and NEE (2018); the band has performed at Roadburn Festival. Active as 'Nefast' 2013-2017, renamed 'Project Nefast' 2017 onward.
